“Christian Unity: Unity Takes Love”

Ephesians 4:1-3

[1] I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

[2] with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

[3] eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

 

 

INTRO:

Ephesians 2:14-15 [14] For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility [15] by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,

 

Ephesians 4:13 [13] until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

 

Ephesians 3:17 [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

 

 

 

 

 

 

1.   Unity Takes a Love Lived Out in Humility and Gentleness (Ep 4:2a).

Philippians 2:3 [3] Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
