*Responsive Call to Worship    (Psalm 77:7-9, 11-15)

   "Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased?

   Are His promises at an end for all time? Has God forgotten to be gracious?

   Has He in anger shut up His compassion?"

            I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old.

   I will ponder all Your work, and meditate on Your mighty deeds.

            Your way, O God, is Holy. What god is great like our God?

   You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your might among the peoples.

            You with Your arm redeemed Your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.

*Hymn           “Jesus, Lover of My Soul”                Wesley, Thompson

1. Jesus, lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly,

    While the nearer waters roll, While the tempest still is high.

    Hide me, O my Savior, hide, Til life’s storm is past;

    Safe into the haven guide; Receive my soul at last.

2. Other refuge have I none, I helpless, hang on Thee;

    Leave, oh leave me not alone, Support and comfort me.

    All my trust on Thee is stayed, All help from Thee I bring;

    Cover my defenseless head In the shadow of Thy wing.

3. Thou, O Christ, are all I want, Here more than all I find;

    Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, Heal the sick, and lead the blind.

    Just and holy is Thy Name, I am all unrighteousness;

    False and full of sin I am; Thou art full of truth and grace.

4. Plenteous grace with Thee is found, Grace to cover all my sin;

    Let the healing streams abound; Make and keep me pure within.

    Thou of life the fountain art, Let me take of Thee;

    Spring Thou up within my heart; For all eternity.

*Prayer of Adoration

*Affirmation of Faith - The Children’s Catechism

   What is the 2nd petition of the Lord’s Prayer? The 2nd petition is "Thy kingdom come."

   What does it mean to pray,"Thy kingdom come"?

            We are asking God to bring more and more people to hear, believe and obey the gospel.

Offertory & Prayer of Thanksgiving

Sermon         “The Lord is God in Every Country, Part 2”              Pastor John Uhl

Confessing Our Need of Christ Together and Individually

   God of mercy, whose Son, Jesus Christ,

   longs to gather us in the embrace of His love.

   We confess that we have been wayward children.

   Our hearts have been cold to Your love;

   We have disobeyed Your commands;

   We have been indifferent to Your call;

   We have not lived with Your glory in mind.

   In thought, in word, and in deed, we have hurt others and dishonored Your name.

   In Your great mercy receive us yet again as Your well-beloved children,

   not because we are worthy, but for the sake of Jesus who loved us and gave Himself for us.

   This we pray in His matchless name.

Assurance of the Lord’s Pardon   (2 Corinthians 5:17)

   Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

*You are invited to Stand when prompted by Pastor John.

New Guests - We are so glad to have the privilege of worshiping the Lord with you. Please fill out one of our “Guest Cards” found on the table in the Narthex. This will help us in responding to any of your questions or needs. You can place them in the offertory plate or hand it to our pastor.

The Lord’s Supper - We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday at Grace Covenant. All who trust in Jesus and Him alone for their salvation are invited to partake. Our custom is to distribute the elements processing forward by rows. After all are served, we then take the elements together. If you have a non-communing child, please bring them forward with you so Pastor John may pray for them. If you believe your child is ready to take Communion, please ask our Pastor about the process.

Cry Room - This special room is located in the back of the sanctuary should you have need. It is well appointed with the option to clearly hear the service.

Ingram Extra - Join us after service in the Fellowship Hall for refreshment. If you would like, Pastor John will lead a small discussion at the couches in the FH. Our theme topic this Spring is Personal Eschatology.
